Most Recent Project – Whetstone N20 Heat Pumps

3F Heating & Plumbing were asked to design and install 3 Air Source Heat pumps as a cascade system for a large residential property in London. We used 3 x Viessmann 200A Air to water heat pumps and a plate load hot water system for high hot water usage. Underfloor heating was specified throughout with solid concrete floors and some carpeted areas. The end result was extremely low flow temperatures with a very efficient performance for the customer.

NEWS – HEAT PUMPS

Homeowners wanting to fit a low-carbon heat pump in their homes in England and Wales could receive a one-off £5,000 grant from the Government to help replace less efficient gas boilers from April 2022. The initiative is part of a £3.9 billion project to make all heating systems low carbon by 2035.

The Government scheme aims to reduce emissions but also cut the cost of fitting heat pumps so that more households can afford them. The idea is to ensure that low carbon, more efficient heating systems, such as heat pumps, will be no more expensive – and in many cases cheaper – to buy and run than gas boilers.

But the scheme will operate on a first come, first served basis with the Government offering payments for 30,000 heat pumps every year for three years. You’ll also have to stump up the difference if costs come to more than the £5,000 grant.

Existing RHI Available until March 2022

Renewable Heat Incentive for Air Source heat pumps;
Now your home is ready for an air source heat pump, you can apply for the RHI. The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (Domestic RHI) is a government financial incentive to promote the use of renewable heat.

People who join the scheme receive quarterly payments for seven years for the amount of clean, green renewable heat it is estimated their system will produce.

The UK Government's Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) makes key policy decisions and energy regulator Ofgem E-Serve administers the scheme. Policy documents can be found on the UK Government website on the at Ofgem website.
